2. How does Polaris being a Cepheid variable in a binary help us understand the expansion of the universe? ?

I'm no math whiz, but I am an english whiz. If my calculations are correct, the earth will explode in the year 1985.|||STFU and do your own homework cat lady|||If you've got a binary, you can figure out the mass of both objects. So at least you get to see how massive Cepheids might be.

But Polaris isn't a very typical Cepheid. For one thing, it's not very variable. So i don't see how it's of much use.

|||I'll call the Men In Black and see if they know. I'll get back to you!|||The Cepheid is a sperm cell from a Polaris. If it morphs, that is the expansion.|||Polar bears live in the North Pole, not in the universe. Your stupid.|||I have a Polaris 4-wheeler, with a 4-wheel drive unit on it. I can make Margaritas also as it power blender %26amp; ice dispenser. If you set the expansion button to Expand, the back seat folds down and you can sleep on it.|||I could answer this question better if I had access to that book I wrote on number theory.....a best seller, you know.
